The collaboration between Poltekpar Bali and the Tourism Confucius Institute (TCI) of Udayana University has resulted in various activities that are very beneficial for students, institutions, and the community. These activities include Mandarin language teaching, cultural festivals, and cultural exchanges involving parties from China. One concrete manifestation of this collaboration is the presence of a Mandarin language lecturer from TCI Udayana University, Mrs. Ma Xuke, who is tasked with guiding Poltekpar Bali students in mastering Mandarin. This language skill is very relevant for students, especially in the global tourism industry, considering the large number of Chinese tourists visiting Bali.
As part of a series of collaborative activities, on February 23, 2024, Poltekpar Bali held a Lantern Festival at the Poltekpar Bali Hall. This festival aims to introduce Chinese culture to the Balinese people and Poltekpar Bali students. Various cultural activities, such as lantern making, traditional Chinese art performances, and serving typical Chinese food, also enlivened the event. The Lantern Festival is also an opportunity for students to be directly involved in organizing international events, while enriching their knowledge of Chinese culture.
In addition, on September 17, 2024, Poltekpar Bali again collaborated with TCI Udayana University to organize the Mid-Autumn Festival, which is an important traditional celebration in China. This event is celebrated to commemorate the beauty of the moon and prioritize family togetherness. The presence of the Chinese Consul General in Denpasar, Mr. Zhang Zhisheng, at the event conveyed an important message about strengthening bilateral relations between Indonesia and China, especially in the fields of tourism and education. Through this activity, Poltekpar Bali students not only learned about Chinese traditions and values, but also interacted directly with international guests, which at the same time strengthened Bali as a tourism destination that appreciates cultural diversity.
