On April 16 and 17, 2024, 79 students from Breda University of Applied Sciences (BUAS), the Netherlands, conducted field work in Bali, which was part of a collaboration with the Bali Tourism Polytechnic (Poltekpar Bali). In this session, students learn about best practices in developing and managing tourism accommodation based on local culture.

On February 23, 2024, Bali Tourism Polytechnic (Poltekpar) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Breda University of Applied Sciences (BUAS) in the Netherlands. The event was held at the BUAS campus and attended by the Bali Polytechnic delegation led by Mr. Ida Bagus Putu Puja (Director of Bali Polytechnic) and Luh Yusni Wiarti (Deputy Director 3 of Bali Polytechnic). They were welcomed by a team from BUAS consisting of several officials and academic staff, including Mrs. Lucette Roovers-Martens, Director of Global Engagement BUAS, and Mr. Rob Simons, Educational Manager & Vice-Dean Academy for Tourism, along with several other lecturers and researchers. The signing of the MOU was carried out by the Director of Bali Polytechnic, Mr. Ida Bagus Putu Puja, together with Mrs. Lucette Roovers-Martens from BUAS. This MOU marks the beginning of cooperation between the two institutions in the fields of tourism, higher education, and research.Â
The purpose of this collaboration is to strengthen the relationship between the two parties by developing academic programs that are relevant to the trends and needs of the ever-evolving global tourism industry. It is hoped that this collaboration can open up opportunities for both parties, both in the form of knowledge exchange, research collaboration, and opportunities for Poltekpar Bali students to study at BUAS, and vice versa. The signing of this MOU reflects the strong commitment of both institutions to improving the quality of education and academic experience in the field of tourism through closer international collaboration.

The collaboration between Bali Tourism Polytechnic (Poltekpar Bali) and China Branch of Association of Silk Road Countries Universities and Consulting Companies (CBUCA) began with strengthening the partnership network involving more than 200 universities in China, including Beijing College of Finance and Commerce (BCFC).
